Finding Books in the Library

Try a keyword search using terms such as "queer theory" or "new historicism" and then try to locate the appropriate subject headings to find a precise list of books.  For example:

Marxist Criticism

Deconstruction

Note:

Books will give a broad overview of the theory, journal articles will typically apply a theoretical approach to a specific work or author. Start by gaining a better understanding of the theory before searching for articles.

The Cambridge Companions to Literature series has a number of excellent titles exploring various theories.
