News sources

The Library offers three main ways to access news sources:

Browse for content in news databases, which aggregate content from multiple publications
Use the A-Z Journal tool to find and connect to a single publication
Browse print copies on the Library's 7th floor

News databases

Canadian Business and Current Affairs Database
-journals, magazines and newspapers published in Canada
-search by topic keyword, source type, location etc.
Canadian Major Dailies
-20 Canadian newspapers including the Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, National Post
-search by topic keyword, source type, location etc.
-Use PUB field to search specific newspapers (see Look up Publications link)
Canadian Periodicals Index
-major newspapers from Canada and the U.S. ; also includes journals and other sources
-search by topic keyword, source type, publication, etc.

Search name of your publication, then either browse editions or search within publication for your topic
