Books offer in-depth coverage of a subject, overviews of a big topic, and background information. Academic books are often a collection of essays or have distinct chapters on specific aspects of the topic at hand. Use the Table of Contents or the Index of a book to find the book chapter that fits your needs.
Children's literature is located in the Gibson Library on the 8th floor in the Children's and Young Adult Books section.
To find picture books or children's literature, search Omni by keyword, then Filter your search under Brock Location to Children's and Young Adult Books – 8th Floor of the Library and Curriculum Resource Collection – 8th Floor of the Library.

To find books or encyclopedia entries about children's literature, try a keyword search on one of the databases below. Using keywords like "children's literature" will bring up lots of results. Using keywords such as "children's literature and feminism" or "children's literature and curriculum" will find more specific materials.
