OBHR 4P96: Labour Arbitration

A guide to information sources on Labour Arbitration in Canada

Finding Primary Legal Resources

Primary legal resources include legislation (e.g., statutes and regulations) and case law (e.g., court cases and decisions from administrative boards and tribunals).

Finding Canadian Labour Arbitration Cases

Grievance arbitration awards (also referred to as rights or labour arbitration cases or decisions) are issued by labour arbitrators. Not every labour arbitration award is "published". The following links provide access to full text labour arbitration awards, via two different platforms.

LabourSource is a subscription database that contains Canadian arbitration cases, labour legislation, and commentary from Brown & Beatty and other sources.

CanLii is a open access legal information web site published by the Canadian Legal Information Institute, which provides free access to full text legal decisions, including labour arbitration awards.
