Finding Scores Online

Using Omni, conduct a search for the desired name of composer/score and then limit "Resource Type" to "Scores":

  • Remember, you can search for a composer under AUTHOR -- last name, first name. e.g. Mozart, Wolfgang.
  • If you have it, include an opus or thematic catalogue number for the work in a keyword search. e.g. op. 95.
  • Use the Library of Congress Call # Guide to find the ID associated with specific types of scores, e.g. Quartets, Choral Music, Hymnals, etc.
