Recordings

Looking for recordings of performances or certains pieces? The Library here at Brock has a few different options when it comes to finding musical recordings. Below, you will find some suggested databases as well as tips on how to search within OMNI to find musical resources here at Brock. 

The Library's collection of recordings includes over 4750 compact discs, 150 DVDs, 14000 LP records, and thousands of online streaming audio files. CDs are located behind the Ask Us Desk and can be borrowed by presenting the call number to Circulation staff. DVDs are located in the 5th floor stacks. LPs are located on the 5th floor. 

 

Tips on finding recordings

  • In Omni, use the limiters on the left hand side to filter results in 'Resource Type" by "Audio.'
  • Remember to search for a composer under AUTHOR -- last name, first name, e.g. Mozart, Wolfgang
  • If you have it, include an opus or thematic catalogue number for the work in a keyword search. e.g. op. 95
