Course Readings (Leganto) How-to Guide

Use the AI Tool to Help Create Your List

You have a list of citations in a Word, PDF or text file that you want to upload all at once.

You have the option to upload a file or you can simply copy & paste the citations.  The AI tool will read the list of citations and generate a Leganto Reading list.

You will be prompted to name your reading list (eg. PSYC 3F90).  Notice how many items from the list of citations the AI Tool identified. Use the 'Create List' button to go to the next step.

A list will be generated.  On the right hand side, there is a book icon to check library availability of each resource.  Use that function to connect each item on your list to a library resource.  Take note that the list is not yet visible to students and still needs to be submitted to the library for review.

When you check your list with the library's holdings, you have the option to include records without full-text (the library can request items through Interlibrary loan) or you will see items from our collection.  Select the red "Use this item" button to connect the record with the library resource.

Once you have gone through your list, submit the list for review by the Library.  You will also have the option to publish the list to students.  Items on the list that require approval by the library will not be visible to students until the library approves.  Items such as ebooks and chapters from ebooks will automatically be approved and visible to students.

The library will contact you when the list has been fully reviewed.
