The ORCID iD is a unique identifier that assigns a profile to you and your research in a way that distinguishes you from others. The sections below will show you how to create your ORCID iD and populate your profile with all of your research!
Proceed with the following instructions step-by-step by using this registration link on the ORCID website
Your ORCID account has now been created!
Now when following the submission steps with a publisher make sure you enter in your ORCID iD. Follow the next section to register your account with Brock.
Once you have registered for an ORCID iD, you can now connect it to your institutional account with Brock.
If you were able to follow the last step and log in to your ORCID account, you have paired your institutional account to your ORCID. In the future, on the login page you can click 'institutional login' for your account.
If you have previous work published prior to creating an ORCID iD, the following steps will help you import that work to be connected to your ORCID iD.
You have several methods available when adding previously published works to ORCID
You can import your previous work from other databases such as Crossref Metadata search, Scopus, or DataCite
If you are unable to import your work using the Search & Link option, you can add your research through the DOI. These instructions can also be used for a PubMed ID.
